FOOTSTEPS: THE KESHARA JOURNEY

Founded in 1994, Keshara commences its initial operation with the gift of one truck. In the absence of a proper machinery process for producing powdered lime, Mr. Jeewamaal Jayawardhane developed a chili grinding machine system to limestone grinding machine which was the initial machinery system of the company.

Keshara Enterprises was incorporated as Keshara Lime Industries (Pvt)Ltd under the guidance of its Founder, Chairman, and Managing Director Mr. Jeewamaal Jayawardhane entering the Sri Lankan Limestone-based product market.

In keeping with the rising demand, Keshara took its first steps toward group status and incorporated Keshara Minerals and Chemicals (Pvt) Ltd.

While Keshara Minerals and Chemicals continued its market domination, it was the Managing Director Mr. Jeewamaal Jayawardhane that spearheaded a paradigm shift in the company operations and took the radical step of removing the company’s dependency on suppliers by incorporating Keshara Mining and Crushing in 2015.

Set up on an underdeveloped plot of land in Matale, the company started from scratch, and began building its own factory and buying its own machinery and was rapidly on its way to replacing the suppliers Keshara Lime and Keshara Minerals and Chemicals depended upon and worked towards taking the group on a fast track to self-sufficiency.

Keshara Tile Adhesive was produced and introduced as the market as a well-developed product.

Throughout its journey, the Keshara group’s quest for efficiency continued unabated. It was this thirst that led to the incorporation of Keshara Automation Engineering Pvt Ltd in 2018, enhancing production efficiency.

Today, the Keshara Group and its close-knit family of elite specialists stand at the forefront of the nation’s Limestone industry, offering customers a full range of services designed to meet every requirement.
